How does SaliPen work?

SaliPen sends electrical pulses of specific patterns that stimulate the nerves associated with the salivary glands secretion.

The stimulated nerves excite both the salivary glands directly to secrete more natural saliva and also stimulate the salivation center of the brain to further command the salivary glands to secrete more saliva.

How long does the battery last and how can I replace it?

The battery should last approximately 24 months. However, based on the frequency and intensity of use, the power source may run out of power earlier.  The battery in the device can be replaced as and when required.

Can I use SaliPen outdoors?

Yes, there is no known reason as to why SaliPen should not be used outdoors. 

Are there restrictions to what I can eat?

No, there are no restrictions to what you can eat due to the use of SaliPen.

Can I feel the electrical pulses?

A weak pulse may sometimes be felt, however the pulses intensity is below the human sensitivity level therefore generally cannot be felt. 

How often should I use SaliPen

We recommend adopting a routine of using SaliPen.  Some users report reaching the desired effect using the SaliPen for just one minute, five times a day.  Others may need a longer duration of use of up to five minutes.

Is electrostimulation effective?

Our method has been tested by leading clinical centre’s in the world, showing very high success rates (scientifically analysed) and outstanding user satisfaction.

Can I sleep when using the SaliPen device?

No. SaliPen should not be used when sleeping as it will not be as effective and could lead to choking.  The device only needs to be used for up to five minutes and would suggest it’s use is built into your daytime routine.

Delivery FAQs

How long will it take for me to receive my order?

There are a number of Royal Mail delivery options available to you when placing your order.  Delivery will therefore be dependent upon the option you select.  We endeavour to ship all orders received by 6pm GMT the next working day.  You will receive an email notification when you place your order to confirm receipt.  Upon shipment of your order you will receive an email confirming the Royal Mail tracking reference – this will enable you to track your parcel at all stages of the delivery process.  If there are any problems with delivery please email info@drymouthtreatment.co.uk

Can I place an order if I live outside of the UK?

Yes, we generally use the Royal Mail International Postage service.  Please ensure you select the correct delivery option when placing your order.

I would like to order a large amount of stock, more than is listed on your website, is this possible?

Can I cancel an order?

If you would like to cancel your order please get in contact with us by emailing info.@drymouthtreatment.co.uk.  If your order has already shipped we would require you to return the device as per our return and refunds policy below.

What is your return and refunds policy?

As SaliPen and the Intraoral units are medical devices please email us at info@drymouthtreatment.co.uk if you are considering requesting a return so that we can discuss your options. If you return or exchange is agreed we must receive it back within 30 days.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.  Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.  If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

Can I exchange an item?

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to arrange an exchange please email us at info@drymouthtreatment.co.uk

I haven't received my refund?

If you haven’t received your approved refund, first check the account of the payment method you used as can sometimes take some time before a refund is officially processed and posted.  Once checking your accounts please do not hesitate to contact us at info@drymouthtreatment.co.uk  

Will I get a refund for my shipping cost?

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
